Overview

IBM® Datacap products offer document capture and high-speed data extraction technology for improved document management. They help extract analytics and accelerate information sharing to expedite caseloads, file patient claims and improve other document-based processes.

 

Datacap consists of 3 main components, i.e.:

1. Datacap Studio

Desktop application serving as development environment. Datacap Studio has 3 main tabs, the Rulemanager to define rules, the Zones to define zoning and fingerprinting, and the Test to test during development. Inside Rulemanager tab there are 3 segments where rules are defined and attached.

2. Datacap Rulerunner Manager

Datacap Rulerunner Manager will manage any automated rules which is run by service.

 

3. Datacap Web Client

On production environment, client will be accessing Datacap via web client, the tmweb. Earlier version requires certain version of Internet Explorer as its client, due to Datacap requires access to ActiveX component.
